Morialto - House Fusion Live Act
Sydney, NSW, Australia
Morialto (meaning: ever-flowing) formed in October 2001 to offer the Sydney
dance scene something new. The band was launced through DFHM at Sydney's
Sugareef with outstanding success. The line-up then consisted of percussionists
Rob Morrish & Patrice Caraty, Ross Middleton on Saxophone, Damian Church on
didgeredoo and DJ Primed.

During the next six months Morialto went on to
secure two further residencies, Viva La Vida at The Grand Pacific Blue Room and
The Big Bang at Soho Bar (upstairs) as well as a number of other guest spots
around Sydney. The highlight of this period was the production of Morialto's
first track "Keep The Dream Alive" and working with Producer Justin Cale they
created a musical masterpiece.

By May 2002 the Morialto line-up had changed
dramatically, Patrice Caraty & DJ Primed headed over to Europe, Ross Middleton
pursued his solo career and Damian Church focused on his TV & Film work. Rob
Morrish was joined by master of percussion Craig Morrison.

Morialto began
afresh focusing on traditional cuban & afrocuban grooves they started building
new foundations. Joined by one of Sydney's finest young and upcoming Jazz
musicians Reuben Derrick. A graduate from the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney,
Reuben's style and talent on Tenor & Sopprano Sax have added a fresh Jazzy vibe
to Morialto's music.

October 2002 saw the return of DJ/Producer Michael
Bennett aka Brother Beats to Sydney's shores and Morialto moved forward again.
Re-launched with their new look and sound Morialto headlined Haunted House at
Sydney's Burdekin Hotel. They have since gone on to head-up the percussion
section for LUNACY - Moon on Wax at The Gaelic Club on Australia Day Jan 2003
and headlined H2O's 2nd birthday party at The Burdekin Hotel in Feb 2003.
